When People Call You Stupid

You can count on it! Throughout whatever learning process it may be, you can bank on the event that there will be someone there to label you stupid. Maybe you chose to work through a relationship, quit your day job to start that dream career, or maybe you just did something different from the norm that didn't follow uniform with everyone else. Whatever the case, I'm sure the people sitting front row in your arena have dared to utter the words "wow, you are stupid" and perhaps it's shaken your confidence.

Well, may I offer this tidbit?

This kind of commentary usually comes from those who operate out of timidity, and fail to try anything because they are afraid they may look "stupid" taking a chance, going against the odds, or patterning a path that has not yet been created. At the end of the day, DO YOU!! Look stupid. Be great. Fail to new wisdom. Fail to new courage. Fail your way to success.

Why?! Simply because it's better to look stupid securing something, than to look smart having achieved nothing. (Feel free to echo that in case anyone in the back didn't hear me!) Not all people will understand your courage; not all will understand your patience; nor will all understand your tolerance and you must learn to be okay with that. At the end of the day, you have a chance at earning something great all because you took the risks! The people calling you stupid are BEHIND you with low-risk mindsets. That's why you can hear them so clearly.

Truthfully, in their eyes you may actually be "stupid." Because you are operating with knowledge that they don't have...you embody a courage not known to them. Therefore, your process of calculation will differ because you have more tools than they do. When people speak poorly of you with low-frequency energy, it is reflective of the level they are on. It often reveals their own limited horizons, views, values, faith and repeated complacency. Needless to say, don't take it personal. Perhaps their criticisms are a covert protest of their own insecurities.  You just keep your confidence and keep living your life in service to greatness.

Moreover, for those who like to do the name calling; before you call someone stupid be careful—you actually may be saying more about yourself than you are about the person you are meaning to insult.

Couldn't agree more!!! Projection is a key, reflective measure of the relationship with oneself. Lots of love from NY! Hope you are doing well!!

You are truly an inspiration to so many more lives than you will ever know! Don't let people more screwed up than you are being you down. Every successful person was called 'stupid' at some point. You're on the right track!
